Genplus hosts visit by Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore, Mr Heng Swee Keat

SINGAPORE (28 September 2022) – Guest-of-Honour, Mr Heng Sweat Keat, Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies, visited our office on 27th September 2022.

Genplus welcomed DPM Heng to our office and conducted a tour of our factory and office premises led by Mr Lim Ming Chiat, Genplus Managing Director.

During the tour, Mr Lim introduced Genplus and the company’s role as a trailblazer in the energy storage system (ESS) sector. He also shared the diverse research and industrial collaborations that Genplus has with local research institutes and companies. Some projects included second-life battery recovery, marine ESS charging systems, development of new battery chemistries. Such collaborations provided Genplus opportunities to increase our engineering capability and created new business opportunities.

The tour culminated in a display of a micro-grid system that we set up in our office premises. The micro-grid test station was designed as a flexible testing platform with different test configurations that allows Genplus to conduct our in-house factory acceptance tests. Its modular design supports various testing scenarios such as inverter testing, ESS and PV system testing, and micro-grid level testing.

Genplus is deeply honoured to host DPM Heng and look forward to the next phase of growth for the company.
